Empowering readers and writers through research-based instruction

Built on the Science of Reading and Writing Process, our program provides students from K-8 with tools to become confident, capable communicators.

Program Overview

  • Science of Reading Framework

Grounded in decades of research, we explicitly teach the five essential components—phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

  • Structured Literacy Approach

Systematic, explicit instruction tailored to each student's developmental level, focusing on decoding, language comprehension, and reading fluency.

  • Integrated Writing Instruction

Using the Writing Process model, students learn to plan, draft, revise, edit, and publish across various genres.

  • Content-Rich Curriculum

High-quality, diverse texts build background knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a love of reading and writing.

  • Individualized Support

Small-group and one-on-one instruction ensures personalized learning aligned with unique needs.

Who Should Enroll?

Ideal for students looking to improve or accelerate reading and writing skills. You'll notice improvements not just in reading but also in science and social studies.

Grades K-2

Foundational Readers

Students use leveled readers and mentor texts to build decoding, fluency, and vocabulary. Special emphasis on reading comprehension using oral retell and response to reading methods. Students meet in groups of 2-3 to read, listen to peers, and build confidence in read-alouds and story maps.

Grades 3-8

Advanced Readers

Using backwards design, we prepare students to excel on exams like MSTEP, PSAT, and SAT. Practice with short passages introduces formatted reading segments with specific comprehension strategies. Students learn context clues, inferences, and figurative language. Reading and Writing work synchronously with weekly grammar lessons.
